The next book is up on amazon. It's called Heroes Return and it's due to be released in July. However, I still haven't as yet received my list of suggested revisions from my editor, which I should have gotten back before October. I hate to be a pest, but I'll have to give her a little nudge to get that going. I hope she's just forgotten about me, rather than that she simply hasn't gotten to my book yet, or it'll be a rush to have everything ready by the release date.
I am watching Dark Knight (and typing up draft two of book six) while posting this. I pretty much hated all of the previous Batmans (yet ended up watching them anyway, go figure) and fell asleep during the previous Christian Bale Batman movie. My doctor recommended this one. (We do that. I've introduced her to two restaurants that she now loves.) I think Heath Ledger was absolutely amazing, I like Gary Oldman (sp?) and the guy who played Harvey Dent, and I always enjoy Morgan Freeman. It's sad, isn't it, when the least interesting character in a Batman movie is Batman?
I'm really looking forward to the Sherlock Holmes movie. From the trailers, they completely trash canon, but as I never liked canon, I don't care. The only thing I liked about the Holmes mysteries was the fact that the narrator of the story (Watson) isn't the main character of the story (Holmes.) That had a big influence on how I wrote Heroes 1.
I'd like to read an online essay about the use of guns in tv shows and movies. I know nothing about gun use, I've never been interested in guns, but have seen a lot of behaviour with guns on tv and in movies that seems really crazy or stupid. You know, pointing them at members of your own team and whatnot.
